Our story
Our roots run deep in southeast Oklahoma City. New Life Church began in the 1950s as Sunnylane Assembly of God — a small congregation with a big heart for its neighborhood. Over the decades, the name changed, and the church grew, but the mission stayed the same: to help people find new life in Jesus Christ.
In March of 2021, Brad and Lynn Jones stepped in to lead the church into its next chapter — building on a legacy of faith while reaching a new generation of families right here at home.
What We Believe
We believe in the One true God, creator of everything.
He exists in three equal persons: Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19. Genesis 1:1)
We believe Jesus Christ is the only and coequal Son of God.
He came to earth for the purpose of redeeming mankind from sin. After living a sinless life on earth, He made the ultimate sacrifice, dying on a cross for the sins of the world. His victory over Satan gives us the privilege of living a life of forgiveness and grace through the acceptance of what Jesus accomplished. (John 1:1-5, Romans 1:3-4)
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and equal with the Father and Son.
His presence and work in the world today is to make man aware of their need for a savior. He desires to indwell believers and empower them for witness and service on earth.
We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God for man today.
Within its pages are the doctrines for salvation, faith, and healing available to every believer who will step out in faith and believe it.
Our Team
Pastors
Brad and Lynn Jones
Bradley and Lynn Jones have pastored New Life Church since March 2021. They’ve been married for 31 years. Brad and Lynn have two grown daughters: Allison and Haley. Haley and her husband, Francois Van De Merwe, are staff pastors in Secunda, South Africa. Brad and Lynn are seldom apart, enjoying doing life and ministry together.
Senior Adult Pastor
JC and Ramona Walker
Pastor Walker has been in ministry for over 30 years. He now serves as our Senior Adult Pastor. In his spare time he enjoys building, working in the church wherever he is needed, and spending time with his family.
Youth Pastors
Bryson and Cadey Hays
Bryson has served as the Youth Pastor at New Life since July 2024. He has a BS in Biology from the University of Oklahoma. His wife, Cadey, serves alongside him as they both strive to help youth find God and develop their relationship with Him. Bryson and Cadey enjoy playing with their two dogs, Finlee and Frankie, when they aren’t at church. They also enjoy watching movies, hanging out with friends, and playing board games. They feel very blessed to be a part of New Life Church and its community.
